It's pretty sad that you can't get on the internet or turn on the TV without seeing numerous stories about children who have gone missing. Heck, in just January alone, there are 50 kids that have gone missing here in Texas and are still missing.

387 children missing in Texas

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, there are currently 387 missing children right here in Texas. After digging a little deeper, there have been at least 50 children that have gone missing since January 1st, 2022.

Now, those numbers are based strictly on the active cases of missing children. They don't include the children that went missing but have since been found.

What can be done?

Well, first off, you can scroll through the gallery below to see if you recognize any of these missing children. If you've seen them, or know their whereabouts, please call 911 and/or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

What do you do if your child goes missing?

Naturally, you'll want to call local law enforcement as soon as possible. When you do, make sure you give them as many identifying traits as possible, like height, weight, age, name, and a description of what they're wearing and who they were last seen with. After your call with law enforcement, call the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678.

It's extremely difficult to memorize the faces of 50 children, but please do your best to keep an eye out for these kids. Their families, I'm sure, would truly appreciate it.
