Texas Tech Gay Pride Flags Stolen and Vandalized
Seriously, someone needs to grow up. Better yet, they need some time in jail to think about their hate. Flags belonging to the Texas Tech Gay/Straight Alliance were stolen and a flagpole snapped.
These flags are hugely symbolic to the Gay/Straight Alliance and many other members of the Texas Tech community. There is absolutely no reason for someone to take out their bias via theft and vandalism.
I personally don't think that being hateful towards a certain segment of society is acceptable ever. In this, case it's just straight up bullying.
The Texas Tech Police have been called and a GoFundMe account has been set up to replace the flags. I am proud to say that I pitched in to help the cause. I hope other people will pitch in as well to take them WAY ABOVE their needs.
They only need $400 to replace their flags. I'm saying that about ten times that much should show the thieves/homophobes/assclowns that we will not stand for this nonsense in Lubbock, Texas.
Go put a few bucks into the GoFundMe and show your support.
As of this writing, we're well on our way with the $300 being raised in only three hours.
