One of my favorite all time MLB players, Ivan 'Pudge' Rodriguez, recently retired from baseball.  I always thought he was one of the best, if not the best, catchers the game has seen.  Of course, I am a little biased,  because I am a Rangers fan, but I don't think anybody can deny he was one of the best...but who was the best? Pudge re-signed with the Rangers in order to retire as one, after spending 21 seasons in the majors.  He was a 14 time all-star and won 13 time gold gloves which was the most by any catcher.  He hit .296 with 311 home runs and 1,332 RBIs in 2,543 games overall with Texas (1991-2002, 2009), Florida (2003), Detroit (2004-08), the Yankees (2008), Houston (2009), and Washington (2010-11).

Not too shabby, right?

As I said, he is one of my favorite players ever and, in my opinion, the best catcher ever...and there have been some really good ones.

But, who do you think was the best?
