The ‘Momo Challenge’ is Complete BS

Welcome to the Internet folks. The land of myth, make believe, and moral panic. If you aren't familiar with moral panic, CLICK HERE to go to the Wikipedia page. But here's a quick definition.

A moral panic is a feeling of fear spread among a large number of people that some evil threatens the well-being of society.

The 'Momo' Challenge is nothing new. This first popped up back in July of 2018. But it apparently didn't become that big, because there is a whole new, large group of people that are being introduced to Momo now. To the point the news is covering it.

Parents are freaked out their kids are getting messages telling them to kill themselves and others through WhatsApp. The only problem is there has been no documented cases of any of this.

Are there creepy YouTube videos with the weird 'Momo' face? Yup. But that's all it is. A video.
