The Big 4 of Grunge: Who’s Got the Better Riffs?

This is sort of like a topic that Shim and I covered on an episode of Rockstar 101. Although that episode was more about which band would you take as a whole from the Big 4 of Grunge? Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, or Alice In Chains? Interestingly enough, Shim talks about how Alice In Chains didn't really make it big down in Australia.

As I was meandering around YouTube today, I stumbled onto this video. It's comparing the Big 4 of Grunge based solely on the guitar riffs.

So what do you thin? Take all other elements of the bands out and base your vote only on the guitar riffs. Who do you have as the best?

• Soundgarden
• Nirvana
• Alice In Chains

At one point watching this video I'm going with Pearl Jam, but then I think I have to go with Soundgarden, but that lasts up until he gets to Alice In Chains. I'm not sure I could pick a favorite, but I do know that coming in 4th for me would have to be Nirvana.
