Did you know Shim almost became the lead singer of Velvet Revolver? It's true, and you'd know that if you've been listening to Rockstar 101.

In the latest episode, Shim and I are talking about bands that were able to keep going with a replacement singer, and sometimes find even more fame with someone other than the original lead singer.

Ronnie James Dio was once the lead singer of Black Sabbath. Phil Anselmo wasn't the original lead singer of Pantera. But the biggest and best replacement lead singer might be Brian Johnson with AC/DC. How about Van Halen? Which one are you taking? Val Halen or Van Hagar? I honestly didn't think that would even be a discussion, but I've met more than a few people now who go with Van Hagar.

Do you have a topic, question, or comment you'd like discussed on Rockstar 101? You can always reach out to Shim or I. Shim is on Twitter @shimmoore, or you can find me on Instagram @therealbrandolorian.
