"I push my fingers into my eyes," but we suggest you keep your fingers out of your ears as pop-punk band Real Friends have one of the more interesting covers so far this year. The group just released their cover of Slipknot's "Duality," which can be heard below.

The song starts off with the whisper of the famous line from the song, but instead of evolving into an all-out audio assault, listeners get a melodic, acoustic guitar open to the song. But, for all you metalheads out there, don't worry. It does pick up, and picks up rather heavily not too long after.

In their attempts to pay homage to the song, they took the percussive approach to their music seriously, as seen in the tweet below:

The track appears to be part of Rock Sound's Worship and Tributes, Vol. II collection. Meanwhile, Real Friends' most recent studio album release was 2018's Composure album, which arrived last July and was their third full-length overall.

Real Friends will return to the road May 25 in the U.K., playing a pair of shows before returning stateside on May 30 in Charleston, South Carolina, kicking off a new tour leg that carries into mid-July. See all their dates at the band's website.
