Metallica’s 2023 World Tour Includes Only One Texas Date With A Twist
Metallica surprised the entire world on Monday, October 28th, by dropping a new song, announcing a new album, and laying out their world tour plans. Those tour plans span the world of course but it looks like only one lucky Texas town will be on the tour schedule.
Arlington, Texas will be the only city in the Lone Star State where you'll be able to see Metallica live, not once, but twice. Those dates are August 18, and August 20th at AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys).
That's right, the band will be doing two nights in Arlington with different support acts for each now and different set lists.

The first night, August 18th will feature Pantera, and Mammoth WVH while the second night, August 20th, will feature Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills.
Personally, I'll be checking out the first night when Pantera (a tribute to Pantera as I like to call them) and Mammoth WVH open. Honestly, either show would be pretty awesome to see.
Tickets to the shows in Arlington go on sale this Friday, December 2nd. If you're a member of Metallica's fan club, you can get a presale code.
So while there is only one Texas city getting the Metallica tour (at least so far) I think it's pretty cool how they are going to do two shows with two sets of support acts along with two different set lists.
Hopefully, we'll get our grubby hands on some free tickets. We'll keep ya posted.
