I remember the very week I moved to Austin, Texas. I dreaded going to a "classic rock" station. That week though, the new Poison album came in and I thought "At least I won't have to play that crap." Sorry, I helped bring heavy metal to Texas, but by the time it turned into acts like Poison, I was done with it.

Some of you will point to Winger or Warrant as the bleeding edge of what went wrong with metal, but I think Poison were the absolute kings of crappy hair band rock. Anyways, before you get too mad at me dissin' the band, maybe you should look at the video below.

Bret Michaels is releasing an album called "True Grit" that features some Poison songs re-done country-style, along with some new tunes.

Now, I can tell you that for a prolonged period I had to monitor a country station. I know how bad today's country can be, and this is way worse.  At least Bret got a few "Rock Of Love"-looking girls to strip down to bikini tops for no reason.
