Abilene Music Community Rallies for Sarge with Benefit Show at Heff’s Burger Bar

When you spend enough years around live music in Abilene, certain names just become part of the scene. One of those names is Sarge, and he needs a little help from the community.

If you’ve ever been to a local show, a benefit, or a loud bar night, there’s a solid chance Kevin “Sarge” Haney was there or had something to do with it. Through Sarge & Walter Productions, he’s helped put a ton of live music on the scene and always supports our local bands.

Now he’s the one who could use a little backup.

Benefit Show for Kevin “Sarge” Haney at Heff’s Burger Bar

This Saturday night, the Abilene music family is showing up for one of its own at Heff’s Burger Bar. Sarge is currently in the hospital in Dallas, dealing with several serious health issues, and this show is all about helping him focus on getting better and not letting his bills stack up.

The lineup is absolutely loaded:

• Big Sexy (kicks things off at 6 PM)
• Hedley Lamarr
• Parkside
• Walk This Way (Aerosmith Tribute)
• Guns For Roses (Guns N’ Roses Tribute)

Every band is donating its time. Mongo is donating production. And every dollar raised goes straight to Sarge.

Show Details, Cover, and How to Help

Cover is $10 cash at the door (ATM on site). Doors open early, music starts at 6, and it’s nearly six hours of wall-to-wall rock for a damn good cause.
