Life can be stressful and we're always trying to find new ways to relax. Here are some ways to relax quickly.

  1. Laugh - Studies have shown that laughing releases tension, reduces blood pressure and can even help lower blood sugar levels.
  2. Eat something with lots of vitamin C - It was be an orange, or anything high in vitamin C, like blueberries or strawberries. It helps lower blood pressure and calm you down.
  3. Go outside - A study out of Scotland found that being in nature helps relax you. Walking around in fresh air for 5 minutes can help boost your mood.
  4. Rub on some rose oil - A study form Thailand found that it lowers pressure and slow down your breathing. And it's not just the smell, because the study showed that it worked for people who couldn't even smell it.
  5. Walk into another room - A 2011 study from Notre Dame found that when you change your environment, your brain essentially resets itself. So if you're feeling stressed out, just go to a different room.
