Lamb of God guitarist Willie Adler’s heavy metal heart goes out to the guys of Baroness, who were involved in a horrific road accident on Wednesday (Aug. 15) in England. Baroness were heading to Southampton, England, following a gig in Bristol the night before, when the incident took place.

Cristina Scabbia rocks out every time she’s onstage with Lacuna Coil, and all that performing requires some proper fuel. We’re talking real food, not processed, mystery ingredients. Speaking with Gilles Lartigot of “Heavy Metal Food” on the Radio Metal website, Scabbia chatted about food, which she calls one of her “biggest passions,” and what kind of grub she and the guys of Lacuna Coil crave on tour.
In This Moment’s fourth studio album, ‘Blood,’ drops on Aug. 14, and the band are opening up about the creative process for the release. Speaking with Bare Bones Music, frontwoman Maria Brink explained that this past year has brought plenty of trials for the band, including a lineup change, but that has only served to make In This Moment stand taller.
Sevendust are back, and they’ve slapped an official date for when they’ll start recording their upcoming new album! The Atlanta-based metallers will hit the studio on Sept. 5 to start work on the new release, which will be the follow-up to the band’s 2010 set, “Cold Day Memory.”

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson just posted some behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s June 25 concert at Stadium Live in Moscow, Russia, and much of the clip involves Ellefson and Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick searching for a spot to fill their cup of java. Five Finger Death Punch are known for their heavy grooves and angst-y vocals, but the gents have also earned a good reputation for performing regularly for the U.S. troops overseas. The guys were recently in Iraq, and drummer Jeremy Spencer says it’s an experience they wouldn’t trade for anything.
