Sevendust To Hit Studio for New Album on September 5
Sevendust are back, and they’ve slapped an official date for when they’ll start recording their upcoming new album! The Atlanta-based metallers will hit the studio on Sept. 5 to start work on the new release, which will be the follow-up to the band’s 2010 set, “Cold Day Memory.”
“SEPT 5TH!!!! STUDIO” the guys tweeted yesterday (June 27).
What to expect on the new album? Drummer Morgan Rose recently told Loudwire that while he doesn’t know what it’s going to sound like, “I know it’s going to be fresh. There won’t be anything that’s over-analyzed.”
“Usually, some of our best material that we have written in the studio that way – I think ‘Home,’ ‘Denial,’ there’s a few songs we’ve written in studio like that,” he added. “You just go in, nobody has an idea and then all of a sudden it’s just done, ‘Praise’ was done like that. Some of the bigger songs we’ve done were done with the five of us sittin’ in a room and somebody just startin’ to play a riff and everybody running with it so that’s how we’re gonna approach the next record.”
