Will The 10 Commandments Be Forced In Texas Classrooms?

I guess the people trying to make this happen have a very loose interpretation of the Constitution.

I don't get too worked up about nonsense like this anymore. The only thing that puts a burr under my saddle is the millions and millions of dollars that will be spent on lawyers trying to make this happen or stop it from happening. That's all money that could be spent on better things like school lunches, or security.

A bill has been passed in Texas to require/force schools to display the 10 Commandments in every classroom. It is likely to be signed and will immediately trigger lawsuits.

I am shocked that more parents don't come out against this kind of thing. This is a bold attempt at lawmakers telling you how to raise your kids. I am admittedly non-religious, but I am 100% positive if I was I'd still say, "We'd rather take care of this at home". After all, there are six major and hundreds of minor branches of the Christian religion, so how do expect a school to teach the path you've chosen for your family?

Again, I wouldn't get worked up about this, but it's not a good thing if it passes. Even if it clears the Supreme Court, it will likely be one of those scenarios where there has to be an entire wall dedicated to this, and other texts from other religions, as well as the non-religious, and from those merry pranksters, the Satanists.

Lastly, on this topic, I doubt students will pay much attention to this anyway. There was a giant periodic table on the wall in my chemistry class and I ignored it. I had an elementary school teacher who had cat posters and I never thought, "Yeah, I need to "Hang In There". At best, it's probably going to give some students another reason to hate school and be suspicious of those teaching them.
