393 children missing in Texas

Gabby's story garnered national attention thus got me thinking about all of the missing children here in Texas. According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, there are currently 393 missing children right here in Texas. After digging a little deeper, there have been at least 32 children that have gone missing since September 1st.

Now, those numbers are based strictly on the active cases of missing children. They don't include the children that went missing but have since been found.

What can be done?

Well, first off, you can scroll through the gallery below to see if you recognize any of these missing children. If you've seen them, or know their whereabouts, please call 911 and/or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

What do you do if your child goes missing?

Naturally, you'll want to call local law enforcement as soon as possible. When you do, make sure you give them as many identifying traits as possible, like height, weight, age, name, and a description of what they're wearing and who they were last seen with.
