If you're from around this neck of the woods, you probably know how many of us here in Abilene cherish Jay's BBQ Shack, recently featured on The Texas Bucket List.

I've been a huge fan of Jay's for many years. My buddy Frank Pain and I would often visit them on a weekly basis and eat mass quantities of grub. Then we'd go back to work feeling satisfied that we had just eaten some of the best BBQ on the planet.

It doesn't matter what you try at Jay's. Everything is excellent. But my favorite by far is their smoked brisket. It's super tender with perfect smoky flavor that bursts out with each bite. It's truly an amazing experience.

Jay's was recently featured on an episode of The Texas Bucket List. I'm honestly not surprised that Jay's was featured on the show. I'm just wondering why it took so long for Texas Bucket List to get to Abilene!

You can peep the video below; it dives into a little history of Jay and his family who help run the business. Trust me, not only do these folks make some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten, but Jay and Diana Stearns are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

You can find Jay's in Abilene at 602 South 11th. They start serving at 11 a.m. on Wednsday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I highly recommend you get there early and sip a cold beverage while waiting for that delicious BBQ.
