Halloween is just right around the corner! To get into the spirit, I thought it would be a great idea to carve some pumpkins as a group activity! It's ironic that I'm the one who thought of it because I, in fact have never carved a pumpkin! I know, weird, right? As much as I love Halloween, pumpkin carving has never been something I've done, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to do so!

Because I had never carved a pumpkin, the design I wanted had to be simple, so I went with a kitty cat (of course)! And side note, my pumpkin was a bit moldy! Lisa went all '90's kid on us and designed a Jack Skellington pumpkin FREE HAND, NO STENCIL! Brandon, who seemed like a professional, and was the only one who came prepared with his own tools, carved himself the Batman logo. Buzz... well, I'm not entirely sure what Buzz was going for, and it wasn't until the reveal that I got it, kind of. We created several polls to see whose pumpkin was the best, and I thought for sure Lisa would win, but to our surprise, y'all really loved Buzz's pumpkin which we named Ben Dover (say it fast).

After our masterpieces were carved and lit, I decided to take the seeds home and roast them. They were delicious!

So, my pumpkin carving virginity has been taken. My first time was a bit messy, stinky and confusing, but would I do it again? Well, yes, I'll do it until I master it! Buzz on the other hand, should probably never carve a pumpkin again.
