Our great state of Texas has its fair share of official state symbols including bluebonnets, mockingbirds, pecan trees... yada yada. But if you've spent more than five minutes here, you know the real symbols of the Lone Star State tell a much weirder (and dustier) story.
So I decided to fix that, with a very official, absolutely unauthorized, 100% accurate gallery of unofficial symbols of Texas. Whew, that was a mouthful.

And yes, I even included meth as the State Snack. Don't shoot the messenger, I’m just calling it like I see it (and like the mugshot websites see it too).
