It's springtime in Texas and that means refreshing beers are on tap on The Weekend Buzz. This week, we'll crack open the new Modelo Chelada Negra Con Chile.

What Is The Weekend Buzz?

We sample some of the best booze on the planet, hang out with friends, and let you know what's buzzin' in Abilene. It's a hard job, but someone has to do it.

Last week, we hung out with my buddy Cole of S.O.S. Bail Bonds and sipped on the new NUTRL Vodka Seltzer. And since it was St. Patty's Day weekend, we also dove into a bottle of Silkie Irish Whiskey. More on these in the Booze Vault below.

This week, we'll crack open a Modelo Chelada with a new twist.

What Is A Chelada?

A Chelada is made with Mexican beer, lime, and salt. Modelo have a ton of flavors under their Chelada umbrella including Fresa Picante, Sandia Picante, Pina Picante, and more. This week, we'll try the new Chelada Negra Con Chile.

This Chilada is made with Modelo Negra, which is their dark beer, along with chile peppers and lime for a smooth, rich and refreshing Mexican beer.

The Weekend Buzz is a pre-recorded show that airs every Friday from 3-7 on Rock 108 brought to you by our buddies over at Ben E. Keith Beverages, who along with Townsquare Media remind you to enjoy responsibly.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
