Many folks in Texas have dogs or cats as pets, but did you know there are 12 exotic animals you can legally own in the Lone Star State?

My wife and I have two boxer dogs and three cats and it can be quite the circus as we take care of them each day. So quite honestly I can't imagine having to take care of any of these animals on this list every day.

Imagine delivering the mail or a package to someone's house and you see a massive tiger looking out the window licking its chops and looking at you like Uber Eats just delivered you to them. Creepy, right?

On the other hand, I'd totally own a monkey. I always wanted to name one "Mr. PIckles" for some odd reason. Yeah, I'm a little weird.

Nevertheless, while some animals on this list are not quite as dangerous as a tiger, you have to think about the work that is involved with exotic animals.

As I mentioned above, there is a lot of work that goes into taking care of dogs and cats. I can't imagine trying to take care of a kangaroo or tiger. Imagine the vet bill?
