Candy Cane Cocoa

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 3 squares of 1-ounce semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 4 peppermint candy canes, crushed
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 4 small peppermint candy canes
  • 1 shot of your favorite whiskey

In a saucepan, heat up the milk until warm. Stir in the chocolate and the crushed peppermint candies until melted and smooth. Then add a shot, or two, or three, or four of your favorite whiskey. Pour hot cocoa into four mugs, or one big mug for yourself, and garnish with whipped cream. Serve each with a candy cane stirring stick and a high five.

Homemade Eggnog

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3/4 cup of brandy
  • 1/3 cup of dark rum (or bourbon)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups of whipped cream
  • 2 cups of milk

Make sure all liquids are very cold before you make the drink. Beat the eggs at medium speed until they’re very frothy or unconscious (sorry for the lame joke). Gradually add the sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg as you continue beating. Now turn the mixer off and stir in the whipping cream, milk, brandy, and rum. It’s best to keep it chilled at all times. Garnish each individual serving with the nutmeg sprinkled on top and a cinnamon stick.

If you want a non-alcoholic version, simply leave out the alcohol.

English Christmas Punch

  • 750 mL bottle of dark rum
  • 750 mL bottle of dry red wine
  • 3 cups of strong tea
  • 1 lb superfine sugar
  • 1 large orange, for juice
  • 1 lemon, for juice

(Note: This is NOT for one shot, ya lush.) Heat, but do not allow to boil, the wine, tea, lemon, and orange juices in a saucepan. Pour the heated mix into a heat-proof punch bowl. Place as much sugar as possible into a large ladle and any excess sugar into the punch bowl. Pour rum over the sugar in the ladle. Light the rum and sugar in the ladle on fire and pour it into the punch. Stir well and extinguish the flames. Pour the remainder of the rum into the punch. Stir well.

Blue Snowflake

  • 2 ounces of Hpnotiq

Holiday Mimosa

  • 1/4 cup of orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 1 bottle of  champagne chilled

This recipe goes beyond just simply adding champagne to orange juice. Pour the orange liqueur into a shallow bowl; put the sugar in a saucer. Dip just the rims of 6 glasses in the orange liqueur and then in the sugar to form a thin sugared rim. Divide the remaining orange liqueur and orange juice among the 6 prepared glasses. Top with champagne. Serve immediately.

The Grinch

  • 2 ounces of Midori
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of syrup
  • 1 maraschino cherry (for garnish)

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a punch or cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry, and serve. The reason it's called 'The Grinch' is that you might get a little cranky after it disappears in a few seconds.
