Taylor Sheridan Needs More Roughnecks For His New Show “Landman”

Last month we broke the news that Taylor Sheridan, creator of the hit series "Yellowstone" would be shooting a new series titled "Landman." "Landman" will be a series based on the life of the oilfield here in West Texas.

The new series "Land Man" is based on a podcast called "Boomtown."  Deadline sums it up like this: “Land Man is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. The series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics."

A life all of us in West Texas know all too well. From that description, it kind of sounds like 2016 here in the Permian Basin. That is why Taylor Sheridan is looking for real-life roughnecks to play extras in the new show. The production company is looking for those who work in oil rigs. For this in other positions in the oil industry,  you can apply to be cast in the series, not just an extra.

Legacy Casting the company casting for the new series just posted they need more real-life roughnecks for the show. They are looking for 20-40 more real people who have experience in the oil and gas industry as well as pumpjack experience. They are particularly looking for Latinos.

Filming will be in the Fort Worth area and you could need to report as early as Friday, January 19th.
