Sampling Founders Brewing Company’s Mortal Bloom Hazy IPA On The Weekend Buzz

The Weekend Buzz is back for another round of what we like to call "research". This time, we'll crack open a brew from Founders Brewing Company called the Mortal Bloom.

What Is The Weekend Buzz?

We sit around and taste-test different adult beverages including spirits, beer, seltzers, and more. Then we give you our honest take on these beverages using our spidey senses.

Last week, we sampled Butterfield Bourbon and Paint Creek Gin while hanging out with Doubletree Hotel GM Richard Gutierrez, and Belt Buckle Distillery owner and operator Keith Sanders. You can find more about these spirits in The Booze Vault below.

Mortal Bloom Hazy IPA

This week, we're back to beer with Founders Brewing Company, who have a variety of different flavors in their stable of beers. They brew one of my all-time favorites, the Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS), one of the best beers on the planet.

We'll crack open their new tropical hazy IPA called Mortal Bloom. This brew has citrus and tropical notes of mango and pineapple for an intense flavor with a soft finish. It comes in at 6.2% ABV.

We'll also be joined in the studio by business owner Erica Coffman, who runs the new Tumblers On The Go in the Mall of Abilene.
