Dallas Cowboys Part Ways With Kellen Moore – Check Out The Best Tweets
It's official. Kellen Moore is out as offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys. As a longtime Cowboys fan myself, it's about time.
ESPN reported that the Cowboys and Moore mutually agreed to part ways and will not return as offensive coordinator for Dallas ending a four-year run. In Moore's 4 years calling the shots for the Cowboys, he did lead the offense to a top-10 rank in 3 of those 4 years.
Still, his predictable play calling and his inability to make the right adjustments at halftime caused Cowboys fans to put him on the hot seat the past few years. Now fans are getting what they want.
After continuing through our end-of-season review process and having additional discussion, Kellen and the Cowboys reached a mutual decision to part ways. I want to thank Kellen for his deep commitment, hard work, and dedication that were a core part of his time with the Cowboys," said Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy. "The production of our offense and his mentorship of Dak were at the center of Kellen's impact, and we are grateful for his tenure and leadership. We wish Kellen and his wife, Julie, and their family the absolute best as they set out on the next chapter of their lives.(via Dallas Cowboys)
So far there has been no definite decision on who will take over play-calling duties for the Cowboys. It is being speculated that Mike McCarthy, who does have an offensive mindset, could call the plays for the team that wears the star. One thing is for sure, this Cowboys fan is happy to see the dude going. Bye!
