Chris Cornell of Soundgarden Has Died

I wish this were not true, but regrettably, it is. Chris Cornell has passed away.

No confirmed details are known at this time. Cornell passed away suddenly, and the family has asked for privacy according to his representatives.

There are absolutely no words that can adequately sum up the loss of Cornell. He was a grunge innovator, not only singing for Soundgarden, but also Temple of the Dog, Audioslave, solo efforts and many additional projects. He simply had one of the strongest, and at times achingly beautiful voices to ever grace any stage.

Cornell was on tour with Soundgarden. He died Wednesday night (May 17) in Detroit.
