Abilene Radio Gets Big Change As Rock 108 Welcomes ‘The Rock Show’ to Mornings
If you haven't noticed, there have been a few changes to the Rock 108 lineup in the last several months. While I have tried to fill the void in morning radio, the time has come for me to step away and let some professionals who actually know what they're doing entertain your mornings. Starting Monday, we welcome The Rock Show to Rock 108 mornings.
The Rock Show is set to rock your mornings like never before. Led by the ever-so-wise Wes Nessman and the raunchy but sweet rock goddess Chrissy, The Rock Show is set to take your earholes to dimensions you have yet to encounter. (Unless your ears are into some weird stuff we don't know about)
You should recognize Wes as he has been part of the Rock 108 lineup for 2 million years. In fact, it's rumored that he was the first person to do the old "pull my finger" prank on Jesus.
Chrissy was raised by a flock of British birds. Although she allegedly never learned to fly, something tells me she still finds a way to get high.
Here's a little more information about our new morning show hosts.
Wes
Hey everybody. My real name is Wes. My fake radio name is Nessman. I'm a lifelong radio guy and more importantly a guy who just loves being around music. I've written over 8,000 articles, and if I've ever offended you, I'm sorry, I had to write over 8,000 articles. I love comedy and getting up when everyone else is still asleep. I'm also the co-owner of Nightmare On 19th Street, one of Texas' premier Halloween attractions. I believe strongly in blood donation and in helping animals. You're always welcome to email me at: wes.nessman@townsquaremedia.com
Chrissy
Hey guys - I'm Chrissy. I've spent the bulk of my adult life as a chef in Minnesota. I'm thrilled to be back home in my native Lubbock, co-hosting the number one morning show, The RockShow. In my spare time, I like to paint, write music, and hang out around the local comedy scene.
What's happening to Chaz?
With The Rock Show taking over mornings, I will be sliding back to a familiar time slot, afternoon drive. You can catch me every weekday from 3-7 pm giving you all the local 411, killer music, and a lengthy reason why I still love the Dallas Cowboys even though they have broken my heart for 3 decades straight. I digress.
We want to thank you, the listener, for being patient with us and sticking with us through these changes. We promise we're here to rock and keep this dream alive.
