Texas rockers The Toadies are coming back to Abilene this Friday (July 25). And, ahead of the show, frontman Vaden Todd Lewis called in to talk about the 20th anniversary of the iconic 'Rubberneck' album, touring, the band's new beer and more. Plus he talks about a funny story about a weird 'out of body' experience he had on stage.

The Toadies are touring in support of the 20th anniversary of 'Rubberneck', their iconic debut album. In fact, the band are playing the entire album front to back on this tour.

On if it feels like it's been 20 years, Vaden had this to say

"In a lot of ways, no. It's kinda crazy. Seeing photographs in the studio recording that album I'm like 'Who's this scrawny kid'. Now I'm just a scrawny adult."

Talking about the band's new beer 'Rubberneck Red'

"We partnered up with a local brewery in Ft. Worth, and we go together with them to tweak recipes and artwork and came up with our very own beer and it's very tasty"

In addition, Vaden shared a story about how he got "lost" during one of their sets and had a weird  'out of body' experience.
