Sometimes you run across a story that just tears at your heart. This is one of those stories. It's a bit like a roller coaster ride; it's happy and sad at the same time. I just had to share though because the message is so incredibly strong. A girl diagnosed with terminal brain cancer will be able to fulfill her dying wish of playing in a college basketball game.

Lauren Hill is an incoming Freshman at Mount Saint Joseph University in Ohio. Lauren committed to play basketball for the college last October, while still attending Lawrenceburg High School. She accepted the offer to play for the college on her 18th birthday (October 1,2013). However, she would soon find out her plans would be cut short.

Tests and an MRI eventually revealed Lauren had DIPG: Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, an inoperable brain cancer. Lauren would receive chemo and radiation although the end result would not change; at most she was given 2 years.

Lauren's dream was to play in one game for the college team. She will finally get that wish in early November. The game was pushed up so that Lauren's dream could be fulfilled.
