The Weekend Buzz is back in the studio this week and we'll crack open the newest hard tea in Texas - Hoop Spiked Iced Tea.

Did you know that in 2019, there were only 4 brands of hard teas on the market? Five years later there are now over 150 different brands of hard teas. It's crazy to me to think that in the last five years, the demand for these hard teas have become so popular in such a short time.

The latest hard tea is from Hoop Spiked Iced Tea who use real tea, no carbonation and plenty of flavors in watermelon, mango, peach, and their original spiked tea.

It all started in an old ice cream shop on the boardwalk with a couple of friends who quit their jobs and moved to the beach. We wanted to live a life as free-spirited as our hometown. With some tea leaves, two kegs, and our toes in the sand, we began crafting a little taste of Ocean City sunshine, and from there, Hoop Tea was born. We hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoy making it.  (via Danny and Billy-Hoop Tea founders)

With the temperatures in Texas spiking in the next several months, this would be an excellent beverage to pack in your cooler when you go off to do some tubing or swimming this season.

We'll crack open and sample each one of these refreshing flavors, tell you how they taste, and let you know what's buzzin' in Abilene on The Weekend Buzz.

The Weekend Buzz is a pre-recorded show that airs every Friday from 3-7 on Rock 108 brought to you by our buddies over at Ben E. Keith Beverages, who along with Townsquare Media remind you to enjoy responsibly.
