You've probably never thought about it, but blowing out candles on a birthday cake is a germfest. One man wants to put an end to that.

In this video, this man, fed up with this tradition of blowing our stinky breath, chock full of germs, onto a cake which we then cut into pieces and hand out to others to eat, clues us in to a better way.

His solution? Don't blow out the candles. Wave out the candles. Yeah, he's rocking the boat by bucking tradition.

Sure, it seems like a good idea, but there are some issues. The older you get the more candles on the cake, which means the harder you'll have to wave. Pity the poor octogenarian who's stuck flapping his hand back and forth like he's trying to cool off the brisket at the Golden Corral all-you-can-eat early bird buffet.

What do you think? Is this a good idea or is this much ado about nothing?
