Evanescence singer Amy Lee told MTV News that the official video for the band’s new single, “What You Want,” is a mini-chronicle of the group’s history. The clip was shot in July at a Brooklyn, New York warehouse where a makeshift stage was constructed, so they could essentially relive their early days. Lee explained, “This video is sort of, like, the history of the band. This club is emulating old shows we used to play in the beginning, we used to play this club called Vino’s in Little Rock. It’s sort of like back then, the gritty, dirty club, sweaty. And basically, it’s also New York, where I’ve been, (and) where Tim lived in the past few years since we’ve been gone. And it’s sort of about escaping New York and, coming back out into the world.” So here’s a short teaser clip for the upcoming video. I don’t know about you, but every time I hear this song I feel like she’s singing to me, naked. The new album comes out October 11th.
