Motley Crue singer, Vince Neil was arrested awhile back on drunken driving charges.  This morning, his court date was up and he made a brief statement that was about as sincere as a crackhead saying he needs money to buy food.

He got 15 days in jail which, in my opinion, is a slap on the wrist considering the man was behind the wheel drunk in 1984 when he wrecked his car and killed his friend, Hanoi Rocks star, Razzle.  Granted, he did get some jail time for that, but you would think he would have learned then not to drive drunk again.  I mean, the dude has some cash, take a damn cab or something or have some cute chick drive him home.  He could have done anything but get behind of the wheel of a vehicle drunk - again!

"I have recognized that you can't drink and drive at all," Neil said in a statement released last week. "I take full responsibility for my actions and will learn from this experience."

Really? That's almost exactly what he said back in 1984. "I will learn from this experience" In fact, isn't that what most rock stars and athletes are saying these days?  "I will learn from this experience" Yeah, that makes it all better.

Now, I know I have had my share of mistakes involving drinking and in no way am I saying I haven't done some things that I am not proud of, but I truly learned from those mistakes. I am no saint.  I guess it just kinda pisses me off that these rock stars, and athletes get away with so much.  If you or I would have killed someone while driving drunk, or simply driven drunk, I would bet the farm that we would get more than 15 days in jail.

Heck, a week before he got busted for DUI, he was on film saying that he had been sober. Never ceases to amaze me.  Just look at the "Golden Voice" guy who skipped out on rehab.  Just doesn't make any sense, man!

I guess the moral of this blog, is simply, don't drink and drive.  Party your ass off if that is what you choose, but take that cab, or call someone else to come get you.

Anyway, check out the video of Vince Neil at his court hearing at TMZ.

Here is the video of Vince Neil that was recorded literally a week before he got busted for DUI.

And finally, some hot ladies set to the  song "Girls, Girls, Girls" from The Crue.
