The Painman’s Favorite Songs for ‘National Teachers Day’
National Teachers Day isn't an official holiday, but it should be. Heck, it should be every day. National Teachers Day is typically recognized on the Tuesday of the first full week of May. While most will only apply this day to traditional teachers, I think anyone in any field of education should be honored.
As a kid, I didn't have much appreciation for teachers, but the older I get, the more I appreciate the value of a good education. Teachers put in a ton of time in each child with very little return, so they definitely deserve a day of recognition.
Since it is National Teachers Day, I'd like to thank all of you out there in the education system for all you're doing for our children.
In honor of today, I've thrown together a fun list of songs that have some association with school.
Van Halen "Hot for Teacher"
Motley Crue "Smokin in the Boy's Room"
Pink Floyd "Another Brick in the Wall"
Alice Cooper "School's Out"
Pearl Jam "Jeremy"
The Ramones "Rock & Roll High School"
Bowling for Soup "High School Never Ends"
Young MC "Principal's Office"
Aerosmith/Run DMC "Walk this Way"
