It's one of the most re-watched shows of all time, but before I really get into this, I'll lead with this. Steve Carell will not be coming back as Michael Scott. But there is a revival of The Office in the works. In fact, it might be coming back with a whole new cast.

Greg Daniels is the guy that adapted the show from the British original, with the American version making stars out of Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Craig Robinson, Ellie Kemper and Mindy Kaling. Daniels is looking to revive the show and so is NBC, who is enjoying the success of bringing back Will and Grace. But Daniels knows that the show was really wrapped around the ensemble and only bringing part of the cast back would be a challenge.

"Personally, I feel like we left on a good note. I’m not that anxious to open it up again myself, but I would be interested to see what David Brent’s (Ricky Gervais' character from the original British version) up to. But also I think the American show became so much of an ensemble and to not have the whole ensemble there would just feel kind of, I don’t know, less than. So I don’t want to criticize what he’s doing, I think that’s great, but I’m okay with us having had our finale."

Rickey Gervais has reprised his role as David Brent in Life on the Road.
