One of television’s most prolific and longest working actors has died.
Harry Morgan, best remembered for playing Joe Friday’s partner on “Dragnet” and the kindly military surgeon Col. Sherman T. Potter on the hit sitcom ‘M*A*S*H,’ passed away Wednesday morning at his home in Los Angeles. He was 96 years old.
Although Arkansas moved up to #3 in the latest BCS poll, the news was overshadowed Sunday by the tragic death of tight end Garrett Uekman, a redshirt freshman who had played in nine games for the Razorbacks this season.
Sad news to report: GWAR guitarist Cory Smoot (aka Flattus Maximus) was found dead this morning by his bandmates as the group prepared to cross the Canadian border on their current tour. MetalSucks.net shared the following statement from GWAR frontman Dave Brockie (aka Oderus Urungus):

TMZ has reported that Jani Lane, of Warrant, is dead at the age of 47.
Apparently his body was discovered at a L.A. area hotel, Comfort Inn.
At this point in time, no cause of death has been issued.
