There was a crime on Sesame Street this past weekend. Hackers broke into the Sesame Street YouTube channel as if it were a deadbolt on Luis and Maria’s Fix-It shop. According to CNN, the usual kid’s content was taken down and replaced with videos brought to you buy the letter “X.”

The show’s YouTube page was taken offline Sunday afternoon, and a message informed visitors that the channel was temporarily shut down “due to repeated or severe violations of our community guidelines.” A hacker had taken down all the Sesame Street content and replaced it with adult videos.

Fingers are being pointed as to who is responsible for bringing naughty vids to Sesame Street with two prominent YouTube users pleading innocence. This isn’t the first time the beloved neighborhood has been sullied by smut. For a brief time in the early 1980′s, Mr. Hooper’s store had a special curtained section in the back. Hey, a guy has to make a buck.
