Please Help Unaccompanied Texas Veteran Not Be Buried Alone
It's sad to see these situations where a person sacrificed their life and dedicated time, energy, and sweat so that we Americans are safe, only to die alone. That is exactly the case of United States Army veteran, Earnest McCloud, who will be buried this Friday at Texas State Veterans Cemetary.
Texas Veterans Land Board is asking for the public's help in ensuring that this Army veteran doesn't get buried alone.
On Friday, March 31, at 11:00 a.m. SHARP, the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial for U.S. Army Veteran Private (PVT) Earnest McCloud. Born on September 20, 1945, PVT McCloud served in the United States Army from July 18, 1967, to May 16, 1969. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Purple Heart w/3 Oak Leaf Clusters. (Texas Veteran Land Board)
McCloud will be buried with full honors at Texas State Veterans Cemetary, this Friday, March 31st at 11 am. So, if you have a few extra minutes during lunch and want to help honor this Army veteran, please make plans to do so.
It is heartbreaking to think that this man served our country honorably only to be laid to rest alone. Nobody deserves to die alone, especially a veteran.
