Peach Cobbler Dumpcake – Shay’s Recipe of the Week
This is just about the most simple recipe you could ask for and it's quite tasty too. I found this recipe on Pinterest about 2 years ago but with a Google search you can find it any number of places. I was surprised I had never heard of it before, I tried it and fell in love with it. It's called a dumpcake because that's all you do, dump it in one pan and bake it!
Ingredients:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 16 oz. cans fruit in syrup
- 1 stick butter (cubed)
- cinnamon - sprinkle to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a 9x13 pan pour in your fruit of choice (I actually just use 1 lg-29oz can in place of the 2 cans).
Cover the peaches with the dry cake mix.
Add your butter cubes and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake at 375 for about 35-45 minutes.
Best served hot with ice cream!!
