Muse, ‘Madness’ – New Video
Muse have unleashed a monster new video for ‘Madness,’ the second single from their forthcoming ‘The 2nd Law’ album and first to get video treatment. The clip follows a statuesque femme fatale through the London Underground as riots break out around her. There’s a Molotov cocktail toss here, a billy club swing there, and interspersed with the violence is footage of the band performing the tune — with Christopher Wolstenholme playing some weirdly futuristic guitar/iPod hybrid. Shot in subdued blue and green hues, it captures the foreboding vibe of the song perfectly.
