Spring break is on the way in Texas. It usually hit about two weeks into March. It's a time for kids to go wild and blow off some steam. Not only are the students getting a break from school, it's usually the first big party of the warmer season. With these things combining, it's no wonder that things can get a little out of hand.

Texas Students Could Go To Jail Or Worse

The Texas Department Of Transportation (TxDot) is getting ahead of the spring break celebrations with a message that they hope will hit home with students. If you remember the MTV era of filming students at a location or "house".  The parties shown were always bangers, and they always made you want to be there or throw your own. \

TxDot Reaches Out With A Generational Message

TxDot's message is simple, and it goes like this:

 

Drinking and driving over spring break could land you in the “DWI Not So Fun House” or worse

Texas Is Trying To Stop A String Of Deaths

TxDot is doing an excellent job of mixing up the messages so that they can be heard. Often if you repeat the same message over and over, people can become deaf to it. The fact is, we have a real problem here in Texas with the last death-free day on our highways happening in November of 2000. Drunk driving plays a part in a lot of those deaths.
