How to Watch the Hawley Bearcats in Texas State Championship Game
The undefeated Hawley Bearcats will be traveling to Arlington, on Wednesday, to battle the unbeaten Shiner Comanches in the Texas state 2A Division 1 football championship game. The game will take place at AT&T Stadium, otherwise known as Jerry World, at 7 pm.
Those wanting to travel to the metroplex to cheer on the Bearcats can purchase tickets online here, but for those watching at home, there are a couple of options. Apparently, Bally Sports (formerly Fox Sports Southwest) has the broadcast rights to the state championship game, so you'll have to watch the game through them.
You can watch it online (link below) or on Bally Sports Southwest on Suddenlink or DirectTV. On Suddenlink, it's channel 38. Unfortunately, for those with "rabbit ears", you won't be able to pick up Bally on your TV set, so you're better off going to the game or watching it online.
Bearcats Online will provide an audio broadcast of the game and will be hosted by Alexander Garza, Brandon Newton, and Zach Sweeney. Personally, this is my favorite option as they know the team better than anyone and can give a more personal broadcast of the game.
If you're looking for more of an exciting place to watch the game, then head on over to Potosi Live. They'll have the game on and they've got the biggest screens you'll see anywhere in West Texas. That, and the food, drinks, and service are top-notch and the perfect way to enjoy a little high school football action.
This will be Hawley's first appearance in the state title game in the school's history. This is such a big deal that area businesses have temporarily changed their name to "Bearcats" in honor of this historic feat.
If you didn't already know, this is an incredibly special group of kids that have played their hearts out all year and my prediction is that the Bearcats win by 9.
Players, coaches, cheerleaders, parents, families, and fans - just know the entire Big Country is behind you 100% and are proud of all you've accomplished this season. Good luck and bring home that title.
