What's more festive than Christmas lights on houses? Christmas lights and decorations on tents and campsites for Fa La La in the Forest at Abilene State Park on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 6 to 9 PM.

What is Fa La La in the Forest?

During the holiday season, the Abilene State Park (150 Park Road, Tuscola) invites longtime guests and newcomers to fill the Park campgrounds with tents, campers, motorhomes, and yurts, and then festoon them with decorations.

Visitors can then take a drive-through tour of the park to enjoy the lights and decorations. The Friends of the Abilene State Park accepts monetary donations instead of regular entrance fees ($5 per car is suggested), and maps will be available at the park.

Additionally, Fa La La in the Forest will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots, and canned goods for the Abilene Food Bank.

In addition to the traditional drive-through event, businesses in Buffalo Gap are providing treats and entertainment in conjunction with Fa La La in the Forest:

Perini Ranch Country Market (1042 Litel St, Buffalo Gap) will remain open all evening and offer free hot chocolate and coffee for holiday shoppers, and Bison Chip Liquor Store (518 Houston St, Buffalo Gap) will be offering free tastings. Visitors can also visit Refuge Ranch's Country Christmas beforehand for treats and family-friendly fun from 5 PM to 9 PM.
