Demanding ‘Pure’ Metal Is ‘Purely’ Stupid.

Why do you want to hear the same thing over and over? Why would you deny a band the right to experiment with their own music? Exactly how many songs do you think can be written on the same six or seven strings?  Read more after the break.

According to Antimusic.com Five Finger Death Punch is having to defend itself  from it’s own fans because they had a d.j. do a remix of  ‘Under and Over It’. This is amazingly stupid and retarded. Now, I don’t use the word retarded lightly. ‘To Retard’ would mean to “impede growth”, and these fans are retarding the artist growth of a band and a genre.  It also shows a lack of taste and culture among the fans. Why would you limit yourself to one genre? I love the metal of Metallica and the funk of the Chili Peppers, I like the stoner rock of Monster Magnet and the punks of the 80′s. I never even thought of Five Finger Death Punch as ‘Pure Metal’ so I don’t even know why they are responding to the haters.

So to you fans who want ‘metal’ and nothing but ‘metal’ I feel sorry for you…..and shut up. Either act like a grownup and taste everything on the plate, or just eat carrots everyday of your life. Or to use the actual lyrics in the song, just be  ‘just another sheep in the herd’ and listen to the same thing over and over.
