Passengers on a Delta Airlines flight into Austin, Texas, got the scare of their lives recently as video shows the plane missing some of its wing as it came in for a landing.

When the plane dipped toward Austin, something looked really off…literally. Passengers aboard the Delta Air Lines flight noticed that a portion of the left wing flap was visibly dangling, swinging around all nimbly bimbly as the aircraft cruised toward Austin–Bergstrom International Airport.

Miraculously, the flight landed safely, with no injuries reported. Delta stated the aircraft was immediately removed from service and grounded for inspection and maintenance, underscoring that “nothing is more important than the safety of our people and customers.

I gotta say, this would have scared the living you know what out of me. I definitely would be grabbing for that extra pair of underwear in my carry-on bag. Imagine that slap-your-forehead moment when you glance out the window and see wing parts doing their best impression of spaghetti, dangling and twisting like early Halloween decorations. No thanks!

Glad all of these folks made it to the ground safe! But it sure makes me a little nervous as my wife and I plan a trip back to Hawaii in a few weeks.
