Abilene, Texas, is revving up for one of the most heartwarming events of the season with the Spooktacular Memories on Wheels Car Show and Trunk or Treat at Nelson Park.

Cruise for a Cause: Abilene’s Spooktacular Memories on Wheels Is Back

The day kicks off at 9 a.m. with the Walk at Nelson Park, a heartfelt event supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. Then, it’s time to fire up those engines for the Spooktacular Memories on Wheels Car Show and Trunk or Treat, where classic rides meet candy buckets, and good vibes roll all day long.

Walk, Roll, and Make Some Memories

If you’ve never been to this event, you’re missing out on one of the most feel-good days in Abilene. Whether you’re showing off your shiny classic, your spooky trunk décor, or just showing up to support the cause, this one hits all the right notes. Pre-registration is only $20 right here, or $25 the day of the show.

Oh, and don’t forget, overnight parking and RV hookups are available if you coordinate with Mrs. Johnson at rjohnson@expoctc.com or call 325-677-4376.

Bring the Kids (and the Candy)

The Trunk or Treat runs from noon to 1 p.m., and this is where the magic happens. Kids can load up on candy and cast their votes for the Kids' Choice Awards, which will pick their top three favorite rides. Winners will be announced alongside the judges’ Best in Show and Top 25 awards, so bring your A-game and your Halloween spirit.

A Few Friendly Reminders

Shade’s limited this year, so bring your canopy (with weights, not stakes). And please be aware of scammers! If you don’t hear from Brittany Rau-Vitello, Shelley Jones Drennan, or Leslie Sepeda, it ain’t legit.

At the end of the day, this event’s more than just cars and candy; it’s about community, memory, and making sure love rolls on.
