Arrow Ford Joins The Cause To Help Keep Homeless Students Warm With Coats For Kids
The 11th annual Coats For Kids drive kicked off in Abilene, Texas, this week, and we are happy to have some incredible hearts, including Arrow Ford, partnering with us this year.
What is Coats For Kids?
Coats For Kids was founded in 2013 by on-air personality Frank Pain, who wanted to help Abilene Independent School District (A.I.S.D.), which experiences an influx of homeless students with little or nothing including coats for winter. The district has close to 1400 students who are classified as homeless annually.
With Coats For Kids, we are asking for gently used or new coats for these kids. You can take them to either Ingram Cleaners locations in Abilene who will clean them before we give them to A.I.S.D who then disperse these coats to kids who need them using their Foster Care and Homeless Services.

Arrow Ford
This year we have teamed up with Arrow Ford for the drive in hopes of collecting as many coats as we can for these kids. I had a chance to sit down with Allison and Jocelyn to talk about Coats For Kids and the ways you can help.
You can listen to the entire interview in the player below.
Huge thanks to Allison and Jocelyn and the awesome folks at Arrow Ford for their help for Coats For Kids this year. Also a huge thanks to SignTex of Abilene and Neon Moon Hat Company for their support.
Our goal is to make sure that every student has a coat to keep them warm this winter. If you would like to help, please visit this article for complete details.
