Citizens of Abilene Speak Out About City Council Approving Purchase of Armored Vehicle

Last week the Abilene City Council approved the purchase of a military grade armored vehicle which will cost in excess of $220,000. The specific vehicle they're looking at is a Lenco Bearcat. Obviously, a purchase of this magnitude can stir up some emotions, so we asked you what you thought about it and the results of our poll are lopsided.

Almost 80% agreed that we didn't need it and it was another example of frivolous spending by our city.
