Chevelle ‘Face to the Floor’ at #1 on the Top 10 of 2012

2012 was a great year in Rock radio. So great that we are going to count down the Top 108 rock songs of the year beginning at 7am on New Year's Eve.

Well, as we lead up to the countdown, we decided to give you a little preview of the Top 10 as we count down the Top 10 right here on our website.

Chevelle didn't have the most songs on the year-end countdown, but they did have the most important, with their song 'Face to the Floor'. One of 3 bands with 2 songs in the Top 10, Chevelle tops the year-end chart at the #1 position with 'Face to the Floor' from the album "Hats Off to the Bull".

According to the band, the song is an "angry song" about

"...all the people who have been taken advantage of. I reference Bernie Madoff and his Ponzi scheme. He raked people over the coals, stole and is a terrible person. One day, these people have everything, and the next day it’s completely gone.”
