Buckcherry is one of the many stellar bands we've got playing this year's Birthday Bash at the Taylor County Coliseum. Well, before the band took off to Japan, frontman Josh Todd called into the Morning After to chat about our upcoming show as well as new music.

The second he answered the phone, Todd exclaimed his excitement about almost wrapping up work on the band's upcoming album. He later said we just might be able to hear a new tune (from the forthcoming album) on April 21st at the Rock 108 Birthday Bash.

After briefly talking about their upcoming trip to Japan to play Budokan Todd shared his feelings about owning their own record label while giving sound advice to up and coming bands.

We then talked about the variety of meanings of the F word and the theme of using that in their last EP, "F*ck". He then said the band would also put out a couple of other EPs then eventually combine them all as a box set.

We shifted gears to talking about their latest venture on the Shiprocked Cruise, which is basically an around-the-clock party on a ship with a few concerts mixed in.

Back when we were kids, we didn't have the elaborate events that Shiprocked Cruise (and others) provides. Todd shared his memories about sneaking into festivals and the first shows he remembers attending.
