Binge Drinking Is at an All-Time High, But You Don’t Care, Because You’re Drunk

Americans are a notoriously heavy drinkers and now science says that we’re the drunkest we’ve ever been.

The Centers for Disease Control found that one in six Americans admit to being a “binge drinker.” Binge drinking is defined as “five or more drinks in one sitting for men” and “four or more for women.”

The highest age group of binge drinkers fell in the 18-24 range (color us surprised), but those who were 65 or older reported a surprisingly hit percentage of 5.5 incidents of binge drinking a month.

The states with the highest rates of binge drinkers include New England, Hawaii, Alaska and Washington D.C. That last one explains might explain a lot about this country.
